About me

I am Jan Fieuw, an artist dedicated to commemorating and honoring those who lost their lives in the First World War. My work transforms materials from the war, still found in the landscape today, into wearable or collectible commemorative creations, giving lost stories a tangible and meaningful form.

Each creation is a tribute and an invitation for reflection, remembrance, and connection. My work goes beyond art alone: I aim, in subtle ways, to do something more by making memories visible and showing respect.

I also actively contribute financially to organizations and initiatives that promote remembrance, respect, and keeping the memory of the First World War alive. In this way, my work combines art, commemoration, and social engagement, ensuring that the stories of the past remain alive for present and future generations.
